Catalonia is home to some of the finest beaches in the world. The region is also famous for its Formula One circuit. And there is also one more thing that cannot be left out when discussing Catalonia: food! Here are some travel tips that can be worthwhile, check the out:

Cadaques

There at least two great things to try in Cadaques. First off, there is a wide option of delicious food. There are a number of magnificent beach restaurants on the eastern side of the central area of the region. The fish are fresh. Fried or grilled, it is yours to decide. Then, you must visit the beach. Do a 30-minute stroll to Cala Nans lighthouse and admire the magical national park panorama and Sa Sabolla cove. At the latter, you can snorkel exclusively by yourself or special companions.

Have you got your earplugs? Yes, it is going to be a noisy entertainment. If you are a huge fan of Formula One, just go to the Formula One stadium to watch the testing. The ticket only costs €20pp, just make sure you come over four days before the speeding season starts. The stadium is indeed empty, so you can explore the main grandstand to get a better view.

Salt mountain

There is a mountain made of salt in Cardona. The salt mountain is a really quirky natural phenomenon. It is said that over 30 million years ago, sea extruded at Cardona where salt was left by the seawater evaporation that eventually a salt mountain was formed. There are guides to explain about the phenomenon, but not all of them speak good English.

Peaceful Barcelona

The Carretera de les Aigues is the right spot to enjoy the views of Barcelona without having to see the crowds. To get there from the town center, take the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya to Peu del Funicular Station. From here, take the funicular and get off at the Carretera de les Aigues. Turn left after passing the station entrance, the leafy scenic views will greet you. The Tibidabo funicular will be your last track. You can either stop for a while at the Mirablau café for a cup of coffee and a slice of heaven or simply get back to the town.

Gaudi legacy

It is true that Antoni Gaudi’s most remarkable masterpiece is the Sagrada Familia. But there are other Gaudi’s magnificent legacy like the Casa Mila and Park Guell. Casa Mila, or La Pedrera, was built by Antoni Gaudi during the years 1905-1910. UNESCO declared the architecture to be a World Heritage site in 1084.  Meanwhile, the Park Guell offers picturesque Barcelona views with a number of fascinating sculptures and structures masterminded by Gaudi.

Wine tasting

It is Priorat that produces the most gripping red wine in Spain. This wine region located in Catalonia has turned to be something of a cult wine producer with bless in a form of the llicorella soil that is very contributive to the quality of the wine. While tasting the red wine, you can spread your view in front of mountains and watch the vines tended by hand.
